The Summer Ballet Festival
This cultural event, which began in 2001, was initially designed to attract tourists passing through Moscow who were disappointed by the closure of the theatrical season. Gradually, Muscovites themselves became interested, so it was decided that the festival would be celebrated every year. It even received the support of the city of Moscow to showcase Russian cultural heritage. The Summer Ballet Festival takes place at the Russian Youth Academic Theater. It has already attracted more than 400,000 people. It owes much of its reputation to the diversity of its repertoire, which includes classics such as "Swan Lake" by Tchaikovsky and "The Sleeping Beauty" by Marius Petipa.
In 2019, the festival will begin on July 29 and end on August 30. For more details, you can visit the official website of Russian Ballet International.
