Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Listvianka
In the morning, we arrive in Irkoutsk, the "little Paris of Siberia" where our guide welcomes us.
We then take a tour of the city by transport while visiting its remarkable monuments, namely the Church of the Savior, the Church of the Epiphany, the Angara Embankment with the monument to Tsar Alexander III. We also observe the old wooden houses that are typical of the city.
We have lunch in the city.
Then we head to Lake Baikal, in the village of Listvianka for a journey of approximately 1 hour. Along the way, we can discover the Taltsy Museum of traditional wooden architecture. We stop for a while at the mouth of Lake Baikal and the Angara. The latter is the only river that flows out of the lake among the 336 that flow into it. It is also the only place where the Angara never freezes.
We settle into the inn in a comfortable room.

Listvyanka – Irkutsk
After breakfast, we meet our guide to visit Lake Baikal. We find there in particular the aquarium of nerpa or freshwater seals. A virtual dive into its depths is not to be missed.
Subsequently, we take the chairlift to Pic Tchersky (Pik Chersky) which offers a magnificent panorama of the lake; notably the place where the Angara River originates; and we follow an asphalt path for the descent on foot for 15 to 20 minutes.
We take a pleasant moment to tour the village of Listvianka(listvianka) by walking.
After lunch, we take a ride on a dog sled or snowmobile.
We can also opt for a visit to the Museum of the Decembrists.
We are then transferred to @[Irkutsk](irkutsk).

Irkutsk – Olkhon
After breakfast, we head towards Olkhon Island for a 4 to 5 hour journey in a private minivan.
Along the way, we make a short stop in the village of Ust-Orda, which is the capital of Buryatia. This allows us to discover the Buryat culture museum.
Typical Buryat lunch in a small roadside café.
At the gates of Olkhon, we cross by ferry the strait between the island and the mainland for a 15-minute journey. Note that the island's main village is located 37 km from the ferry.
We then venture into the southern part of Olkhon Island.
At the end of the day, we settle into a guesthouse on the side of Khoujir village with comfortable rooms.

Olkhon Island
After breakfast at the hotel, we head out on an excursion to the north of the island aboard a Russian 4x4 UAZ (for groups of 1 to 3 people, we form a group with other tourists. For groups of 4 people and more, it will be in an individual UAZ).
We cross through a forest, sand dunes and meadows on a very rough road. Along the way, we make several stops to admire the beaches, the steep ochre cliffs and the mountains on the other side of the Small Sea.
40 km from the village, we explore Cape Khoboï which offers a spectacular 360° view. We also have the opportunity to see the lake seals and nerpa seals that are present in the area (particularly in June).
We enjoy a picnic that our driver has prepared.
We continue our journey to Love Peak where the Buryats once left their wives who were unable to have children. They would return a few days later to see their beloved ones who were supposed to be healed by the Spirits.
Then we return to the guest house. We have free time to explore the village of Khoujir and the famous Burkhan rock.

Olkhon Island
After breakfast at the inn, we enjoy a free day to embark on a personal discovery of the island.
We return to the inn for dinner and overnight stay.

Irkoutsk
We arrive in Irkoutsk and we stay with a local family or in a 3* hotel.
This morning, we are transferred in a private vehicle.
We have breakfast before returning to the city of Irkoutsk for a 5 to 6 hour journey by regular minibus. Be careful, because in summer (between mid-July and mid-August), it is possible to spend between 1 to 3 hours in the car queue waiting for the ferry.
If we choose the transfer to Irkoutsk by private car, we avoid this wait. The car takes us to the ferry, then we take the first ferry and another car picks us up on the other side. The price is an additional charge, of course, in the terms and conditions.

Visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Canada are in principle subject to a visa requirement to enter Russia. A tourist visa must be obtained from the competent Russian embassy or consulate before departure.
