How to choose your circuit in Russia?
The first criterion remains the duration available, as Russia cannot be rushed through. On a trip of 8 to 12 days, we recommend combining Moscow, Saint Petersburg and a third region of your choice, either the Golden Ring by private car, or Kazan by night train. For 13 to 17 days, add Lake Baikal with a domestic flight from Moscow, or a section of the Trans-Siberian Railway to Yekaterinburg. Beyond three weeks, the Russian Caucasus or Kamchatka become possible. Our team will guide you based on the season and your interests.
Different types of circuits
We design three main families of itineraries. Cultural circuits focus on museums, monasteries and imperial heritage, ideal for a first discovery around Moscow, Saint Petersburg and the Golden Ring. Adventure circuits lead towards Lake Baikal in winter on the ice, hiking in the Caucasus around Mount Elbrus or the volcanoes of Kamchatka. For family trips, we adapt distances and include circus shows, interactive visits and short day train stages with children.
What is the best season?
The widest window runs from mid-May to mid-September, with temperatures of 18 to 25 degrees in European Russia and very long daylight hours. The white nights of Saint Petersburg, from late May to mid-July, remain a highlight. Autumn in September offers the golden colours of the Golden Ring. Winter, from December to March, transforms Moscow and Saint Petersburg into snow-covered settings and allows the crossing of frozen Lake Baikal, an experience that justifies the cold of minus fifteen to minus twenty degrees.
